Leprechaun Party & Storytime

Open House Friday, March 17,  5:30 – 8:00 PM

Most cultures of the world share stories of magical little people with their children.  Leprechauns take center stage for St. Patrick’s Day when everyone is a little (or a lot) Irish, but there are so MANY different magical beings, from fairies to tree sprites, to water babies, that protect their natural elements or teach us lessons about right and wrong.  When the world greens up in spring, it is the perfect time to learn about and celebrate some of these wee folks! We will have crafts, games, treats and wonderful stories for children of all ages.  The leprechauns have busily been hiding treasure around the store, and each child will receive a clue to look for a share of the loot! Some may wish to toss coins in the magical fairy well to make a wish and to help support community literacy events.  All of the activities are free, and open to all children until supplies run out.
