Eastern Sierra Youth Outdoors

The Rotary Club of Bishop and Eastside Sports, Inc, are pleased to offer for the second year in a row the Eastern Sierra Youth Outdoor program. Free to youth from the Eastern Sierra ages 12 – 17 the event is a five day, four night outdoor education camp for up to 30 kids. The first two days and nights are camping based up Bishop Creek. The last three days are a backpacking trip. Instructors are outdoor professionals volunteering for the program. If you live in the Bishop area (Tom’s Place, Swall Meadows, Bishop, Big Pine, etc) and are between the ages of 12 to 17 (inclusive) you are invited to apply to the program. 26 participants will be selected from all applicants with priority going to those who have never tried climbing or backpacking. The application period is open starting February 15 and closes June 10, sooner if the program fills up.
