Spending quality time with an adult is a very important part of a child’s life. You may want to give back to your community or be a constructive influence in a youngster’s life, but cannot commit to the full mentor program. Well…we may be able to help you out with that.

The Inyo County Mentor Program has started a new program called the “Lunch Pal.” The program is designed for the individual that might have some time constraints and can’t commit to the full mentor program or may want to use this as a stepping stone into the full mentor program. We are asking that the Lunch Pal has lunch with a student at school and maybe spend some time playing a board game or reading together.  Just twice per month during the school year is the minimum commitment for the Lunch Pal program. You, of course, can choose to meet for lunch more often. This small investment in time may make a child feel better about himself or herself. Make an investment in our future. Be a mentor.
